Located on 550 acres of pristine wilderness blanketed in aspen, birch and poplar forests, this four-season recreational park offers hiking, jogging and cycling on 12 kilometres of trails, a small lake for swimming and canoeing, and cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. In addition to overnight campsites, there are picnic areas and a cookhouse.
ELK ISLAND NATIONAL PARK – 27 KM
Watch herds of wild bison, elk, white-tailed deer and moose roam about the 80 km (50 mi) of trails, meadows, marshes, lakes, parkland and quicksand. Enjoy a picnic in the Astotin Lake area and keep an eye peeled for the Northern Lights. Come back in winter to enjoy world-class snowshoe and cross-country skiing conditions.
WEST EDMONTON MALL – 35 KM
